About 200 labor migrants will not be able to work in the Tomsk region from November - RIA Tomsk
More than 200 foreign citizens who carry out labor activities in the Tomsk region will not be able to work from November due to the expiration of patents.
This was reported to RIA Tomsk on Friday by the regional department of the Federal Migration Service (FMS).
As explained in the department, from November 9, 2022, a new form of the patent for foreign citizens came into force. For this reason, all previously issued patents will be invalid.
The head of the FMS department for the Tomsk region, Yury Oganov, clarified that from November 14, labor migrants who continue to work in the Tomsk region will be on the territory of the Russian Federation illegally. Violators are threatened with fines and deportation.
According to Oganov, 210 labor migrants who have or have already expired patents live and work in the region. Most of them are citizens of Uzbekistan, another part is citizens of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
In order to work legally in the territory of the Tomsk region from November 9, foreign citizens need to issue new patents of established form. You can do this at the FMS department in the Tomsk region at the address: Tomsk, st. Belozerskaya, 40.
