A Difficult Away Series
Togliatti hockey players completed the away series of matches, having met with serious resistance from the East rivals. In seven games, the team managed to score only one victory, which was achieved in overtime.
In the first match, Lada lost to Metallurg Novokuznetsk 1:4. The next day, the team from Togliatti met with the Salavat Yulaev team and lost 3:4. In the third game, Lada suffered a crushing defeat from Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg with a score of 0:5.
Victories and Losses
Lada’s only victory in the away series was in the fourth match against Ak Bars Kazan. The main time of the match ended in a draw – 2:2. In overtime, Vladislav Butt scored the game-winning goal, bringing Lada a victory with a score of 3:2.
In the fifth match, Lada lost to Sibir Novosibirsk with a score of 1:3, and in the sixth match to Avangard Omsk with a score of 2:3. The last match of the away series Lada played against Barys Nur-Sultan. The teams failed to determine the winner in regulation time and overtime. In the shootout, Barys was more accurate, winning the match with a score of 2:1.

Lada’s performance in the away series was disappointing. The team showed a lack of coherence in defense and failed to convert many scoring chances.
Despite disappointing results, Lada still has a chance to make the playoffs. The team is currently in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, just one point behind eighth place. In the remaining matches, Lada must show their best hockey to achieve their goal.
