Ex-banker Alexander Zheleznyak announced his withdrawal from the Anti-Corruption Foundation - the legal entity of FBK

Moscow, July 5 -

Alexander Zheleznyak, who until recently headed the branch of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) in the Novosibirsk region, announced his withdrawal from the organization. Within a few hours, his message disappeared from social networks. According to Zheleznyak, he left the FBK due to the fact that some of his positions began to differ from the views of the organization's leaders.

He also criticized some actions of the FBK staff, but did not specify what exactly he was referring to.

In conclusion, Alexander Zheleznyak pointed out that he remains a like-minded person of FBK, but he sees his further activities in a different direction.

"I wish good luck to the FBK, but I will go my own way," the ex-banker wrote.

Alexander Zheleznyak headed the FBK branch in the Novosibirsk region for over a year. Prior to that, he served as vice-president of the Novosibirsk branch of Sberbank. In 2014, he left the banking sector and became a municipal deputy of the Novosibirsk City Council.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation was founded by Alexei Navalny in 2011. The declared goal of the organization is to combat corruption in Russia.
