Haaland Happy at Man City, No Plans to Leave
Norwegian striker dismisses rumors of a potential exit
Erling Haaland, Manchester City's prolific Norwegian striker, has quashed rumors linking him with a move away from the Etihad Stadium, emphasizing his contentment at the club. The 22-year-old has been in scintillating form since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, scoring 32 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Haaland's impressive performances have inevitably attracted attention from other top European clubs, but the striker has made it clear that he is committed to Pep Guardiola's project at Manchester City.
"I'm very happy here," Haaland told Sky Sports. "I've settled in well and I'm enjoying my football. I'm not thinking about leaving anytime soon."
Guardiola delighted with Haaland's commitment
Haaland's declaration of loyalty will come as a huge relief to Guardiola, who has been a huge admirer of the striker since his time at Dortmund.
"Erling is a fantastic player and we're delighted to have him at Manchester City," Guardiola said. "He's a natural goalscorer and he's already shown what he can do in the Premier League.
"I'm not surprised that he's happy here. We have a great team and we're playing some exciting football. I'm sure he'll continue to score goals for us for many years to come."
Haaland focused on helping City win trophies
Haaland's immediate focus is on helping Manchester City win as many trophies as possible this season. The Citizens are currently top of the Premier League table and are also in contention for the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
"I want to win trophies with Manchester City," Haaland said. "That's why I came here. We have a great team and I believe we can achieve anything we set our minds to.
"I'm just focused on doing my job on the pitch and helping the team win games. I'm not thinking about anything else."
