Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba's goals earn Inter Miami victory over Atlanta, Miranchuk plays one half
Miami, Florida - Inter Miami earned their second consecutive victory in the MLS on Saturday, defeating Atlanta United 2-0 at DRV PNK Stadium.
Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba scored the goals for Phil Neville's side, while Aleksei Miranchuk made his first start for Atlanta since joining the club on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer.
Suarez opened the scoring in the 35th minute, finishing off a low cross from Bryce Duke. Alba doubled the lead just before half-time, heading home a cross from Jean Mota.
Miranchuk played the first half for Atlanta, but was substituted at half-time. The Russian international had a quiet game, with few opportunities to show his quality.
The win moves Inter Miami up to eighth in the Eastern Conference, while Atlanta remain bottom of the table.
## Suarez and Alba continue to impressSuarez and Alba have been in excellent form for Inter Miami since joining the club in the summer. Suarez has now scored four goals in his last five games, while Alba has provided three assists in his last four.
The two former Barcelona players are proving to be a valuable addition to Neville's side, and their goalscoring contributions are helping Inter Miami climb the table.
## Miranchuk yet to make his markMiranchuk has yet to make his mark at Atlanta since joining the club on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer. The Russian international has made three appearances for the club, but has yet to score or provide an assist.
It is still early days for Miranchuk, and he will need time to adapt to the MLS. However, he will need to start producing soon if he wants to help Atlanta climb the table.
