Miralem Pjanic: "I don’t care about the reaction from Europe regarding my move to CSKA"

Former Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic insists he doesn't pay attention to reaction around Europe after he joined CSKA Moscow from Sharjah

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international moved to the Russian capital in the summer of 2022, after just one season in the United Arab Emirates with Sharjah.

Pjanic has been capped 107 times by his country, and has played for some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Lyon, Roma, Juventus and Barcelona.

Despite his pedigree, Pjanic's move to CSKA Moscow was met with some surprise, given the club's relative lack of success in recent years.

However, Pjanic insists he is happy with his decision to join CSKA, and is not bothered by the reaction from Europe.

"I don't care about the reaction from Europe regarding my move to CSKA," Pjanic told reporters.

"I'm happy here, I'm playing regularly, and I'm enjoying my life.

"CSKA is a big club with a lot of history, and I'm proud to be a part of it."

Pjanic has made 24 appearances for CSKA Moscow in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

The Russian Premier League is currently suspended due to the winter break, but CSKA Moscow are due to return to action on March 5th, when they will face Akhmat Grozny.
