Nottingham Forest put in a dominant performance to beat Leicester City 4-1 in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday night. The Championship side were the better team throughout and deserved their victory.
Goals from Johnson, Surridge, Awoniyi, and Cook
Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for Forest in the 32nd minute, before Leicester equalised through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall just before half-time. However, Forest scored three goals in the second half to seal the win. Sam Surridge restored their lead in the 50th minute, Taiwo Awoniyi made it 3-1 in the 63rd minute, and Ryan Yates added a fourth in the 84th minute.
Forest's First Win Over Leicester Since 1991
This was Forest's first win over Leicester since 1991 and it was a memorable night for the club. They will now face Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
