Novovoronezh Proton loses in first home game of the season
The hockey club from Novovoronezh lost the first home game of the new season.
Novovoronezh Proton hosted Tambov in the opening match of the 2021-22 Higher Hockey League season. The game was held at the Ice Arena named after Valery Kharlamov on Sunday, September 12th
The game ended with a score of 2:3 (1:0, 1:2, 0:1)
The home team opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the match. Vladimir Loginov scored an in-depth goal assisted by Ilya Klyukin and Anatoly Radionov. The Tambov team equalized in the second period when Ivan Ivanov scored at 23:01 with assists from Vladimir Nasonkin and Rostislav Dukalis. The guests took the lead in the 28th minute when Vladimir Chebotarev scored at 27:49 with assists from Artur Balakhanov and Ivan Ivanov.
In the third period, the teams traded goals. Proton equalized at 51:40 when Dmitry Vasiliev scored with assist from Fyodor Cherepanov.A few minutes later, Tambov regained the lead at 52:56 when Rostislav Dukalis scored with assists from Ivan Ivanov and Vladimir Nasonkin.
Ivanov was named the best player of the match for Tambov, while Loginov received the award for Proton. The next match of the Proton will be held on September 15, when they will play away against Dynamo St. Petersburg. Tambov will play their next match on September 12 at home against Sokol Krasnoyarsk.
