Sens captain Brady Tkachuk sets franchise record with 4-point performance
The Ottawa Senators shocked the Vegas Golden Knights in the opening game of the second round.

Vegas was a -350 favorite coming into the game and was thought to be a lock for a Game 1 victory. However, Ottawa controlled the play for the majority of the game and never trailed on the scoreboard.
The Senators opened the scoring just 1:30 into the game when Tkachuk found Connor Brown in the slot for an easy tap-in goal.
Ottawa made it 2-0 midway through the first period when Tim Stützle scored on a breakaway after stealing the puck from Shea Theodore.
The Golden Knights finally got on the board in the second period when Mark Stone scored on a power play. But the Senators answered right back when Tkachuk scored his first goal of the game just 1:30 later.
The Senators added an empty-net goal in the final minute to seal the victory.
Matt Murray was excellent in goal for Ottawa, stopping 32 of 33 shots.
Marc-André Fleury allowed three goals on 19 shots for Vegas.
The two teams will meet again in Game 2 on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.
