Volgograd to Implement Paid Parking

Parking Fees
Parking fees will vary depending on the location and time of day. The most expensive parking will be in the city center, where drivers can expect to pay up to 100 rubles per hour. Parking in other areas of the city will be slightly cheaper, ranging from 50 to 75 rubles per hour. Parking will be free on weekends and holidays.
Designated Parking Areas
Paid parking will only be enforced in designated parking areas. These areas will be marked with signs and will be located throughout the city. Drivers who park outside of these designated areas may be subject to fines.
Enforcement
Parking enforcement will be carried out by a combination of traffic police and automated cameras. The cameras will be able to detect vehicles that are parked illegally and will issue tickets accordingly.
Exemptions
There will be a few exemptions to the paid parking program. These exemptions include:
- Vehicles with disabilities
- Public transportation vehicles
- Emergency vehicles
Residents of Volgograd will be able to purchase parking passes that will allow them to park for free in designated areas. The passes will be available for purchase at city hall.
Benefits of Paid Parking
The city of Volgograd expects to generate significant revenue from the paid parking program. This revenue will be used to improve the city's transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public transportation.
In addition to generating revenue, paid parking is also expected to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. By reducing the number of cars on the road, paid parking can help to make Volgograd a more livable city.
