Inter Miami advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals of the MLS playoffs with a 3-0 victory over Atlanta United on Sunday.
Gonzalo Higuain scored twice for Inter Miami, while Rodolfo Pizarro added the other goal.
Lionel Messi provided the assist for Higuain's second goal.
Inter Miami will now face New York City FC in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The first leg of the semifinal will be played on October 20 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The second leg will be played on October 23 at Yankee Stadium in New York City.
Inter Miami is looking to reach the MLS Cup for the first time in its history.
The club joined the MLS in 2020 and finished 10th in the Eastern Conference in its first season.
Inter Miami improved to 14-14-6 in 2022, which was good for seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
The club qualified for the playoffs by defeating the New England Revolution in the play-in round.
Atlanta United finished the 2022 season with a 10-17-7 record.
The club finished 11th in the Eastern Conference and missed the playoffs.
Atlanta United won the MLS Cup in 2018.
The club also won the US Open Cup in 2019.
