The Children's Film Festival Ended: The Director Burst into Tears
Festival participants presented new works in various categories.
On May 27, the IV International Children's Film Festival "Scarlet Sails" finished in Artek. The festival was held on the territory of the International Children's Center and brought together 1,400 participants from 20 countries.
Within five days, the festival participants presented their new works in various categories. The festival program included feature and short films, animation, and documentaries. The jury of the festival was headed by the famous Russian director Alexei Uchitel.
Nostalgia and drive
The head of the studio "KinoFabrika" and the director of the film "Time of Pioneers" Igor Kabaraev presented his film at the festival. He shared his impressions of "Scarlet Sails" and noted the high level of organization and the friendly atmosphere.
"I really liked the festival," said Kabaraev. "I was impressed by the level of the films and the professionalism of the participants. It was very pleasant to communicate with the guys, to share experiences, and to learn something new."
The director also noted that he was very touched by the closing ceremony of the festival. "At the closing ceremony, the children performed the song "Scarlet Sails". It was very touching and emotional. I could not hold back my tears," said Kabaraev.
The international jury highly appreciated the level of the festival participants' work.
The jury members noted that the participants' works were distinguished by their high artistic level, originality, and topicality. The jury also noted the high level of acting skills of the young actors.
The winners of the festival were awarded diplomas, medals, and prizes. The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to the film "The Time of Pioneers" by Igor Kabaraev.
Plans for the future
The organizers of the festival are already planning to hold the next festival next year. They plan to expand the geography of the festival and attract even more participants.
"We are very pleased with the results of the festival," said the director of the festival, Alexei Uchitel. "We saw a lot of talented children and young people who are passionate about cinema. We hope that our festival will help them to develop their talents and achieve success in their creative careers."
