Jaden McDaniels stepped up in a big way for the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinals series against the Phoenix Suns. The 21-year-old forward scored a career-high 25 points while also leading the Timberwolves' stifling defense in a 116-102 victory.
McDaniels was efficient from the field, shooting 9-of-13, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. He also added 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. His performance helped the Timberwolves take a 2-1 lead in the series.
The Timberwolves' defense was also a major factor in the win. They held the Suns to just 40.6% shooting from the field and forced 15 turnovers. The Suns' star guard, Devin Booker, was limited to just 18 points on 7-of-19 shooting.
With the victory, the Timberwolves now have the momentum in the series. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Minneapolis.
