Egor Beroev to Play Legendary Nikita Simonyan in New Drama 'Golden Double'
Famous Russian actor Yegor Beroev will play the legendary Nikita Simonyan in the new drama 'Golden Double'.
The film will tell the story of the legendary Spartak Moscow coach and his team's historic victory in the USSR Championship and Cup in 1958.
Beroev is a two-time Golden Mask Award winner and has starred in over 50 films and television shows. He is best known for his roles in the films 'Turkish Gambit' and 'Generation P'.
Simonyan is one of the most successful coaches in Soviet and Russian football history. He led Spartak Moscow to six USSR Championships and five USSR Cups.
The film will be directed by Sergei Snezhkin, who previously directed the films 'Yuri Gagarin. The First in Space' and 'The Road to Berlin'.
The film is scheduled to be released in 2024.
