According to the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, a search is underway for six criminals who escaped from the territory of the correctional colony in the Gryazinsky district of the Lipetsk region.

The prisoners were serving sentences for murder, robbery and drug trafficking

The escaped convicts were serving sentences ranging from 10 to 25 years for murder, robbery, drug dealing and other heinous crimes. The criminals escaped from the high-security colony by cutting through the bars of their barracks and stealing an official car.

The prison service announced a reward of half a million rubles for information leading to the detention of each fugitive. The security forces set up checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the region, checked vehicles and asked the residents to report any suspicious individuals. In addition, aerial reconnaissance of the area was carried out.

According to operational data, the fugitives are trying to get to Voronezh, where they have connections in the criminal environment. The police are checking all the places where the criminals could hide.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on aiding the escape of prisoners. Employees of the colony, who could have assisted in the escape, are being checked.
